Sangram Surve is the founder-director of Think WhyNot – a cross-media strategic consulting and implementation agency. He has over 20 years of experience in advertising, strategic marketing and Event Management. He has worked on several brands across industries and is responsible for building many from scratch. Over the years, he has worked for brands like Visa, Proctor & Gamble, HSBC, DBS, ICICI Bank, Cox & Kings, Skoda, Aditya Birla Life Insurance, Penguin Randomhouse, HarperCollins, Hachette, Essel Group, Viacom18 amongst many others. His experiments in advertising have resulted in several innovations that stretched the boundaries of conventional advertising. Through his advertising work, he has created several intellectual properties including books, TV Shows and Music Albums. His love for books saw him create cutting edge marketing solutions for books and is responsible for several memorable campaigns for authors like Amish Tripathi, Ravi Subramanian, Ashwin Sanghi, Ravinder Singh amongst others. He also created the country’s first Litfest for Popular Literature called Litomania.
Amongst his many passions is Film Making, and he produced his first feature film called Cycle under his banner – Happy Minds Entertainment. Cycle was selected by Maharashtra state to be represented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017. Cycle won several awards including one national award and a state award and was showcased in many international Film Festivals. It was later distributed by Viacom18 International and released on Netflix.
Sangram also co-founded and created Enchantico along with author Ravi Subramanian, and his wife Shalini, India’s book subscription service company for children. Enchantico won India’s best book subscription box for kids for 2 years in a row.
He is a wildlife photographer, avid reader and a conservationist championing for animal rights.
